From our family to yours!
Victor Kent and the Kent Kids (James, Cynthia, Miles, Victor, Amelia and Olivia)... are Evengelical Christians and members of the Evangelical Free Church. They have presented this program in Japan, and across the United States and Canada. The program does not promote "magic" (the sorcery type) But uses "Illusions", magic the entertainment art of illusion,as well as juggling and other variety art types (The Show presents illusions, juggling, side-show stunts, comedy, bull whip tricks, clowning, mascot costumed characters, and more.) to illustrate the Gospel. The show is meant to be fun while delivering a very important message...that we are all sinners separated from God. But while we were sinners Jesus Christ , God's only son, died for our sins and was resurrected by God, paying for OUR sins and that anyone who believes in Him (believing in your heart and confessing with your lips) will be saved not by works but by God's saving grace!

We present three kinds of programs:

1.Evangelical Outreach- community outreach show where the show is like the entertainment at a birthday party but the focus is on the guest of honor, Jesus. This show can be any size from tiny platform show to a great big grand illusion show.
2.Family Fun Show-a clean Christian values are presented in a non-evangelical show. This is great for a family fun night, church festival or when you just want safe fun entertainment.
3.Church Lessons Show- programs with themes to specific Biblical messages. Great for VBS's, Children's Church, camps, etc.

As an evangelical outreach program Victor emphasizes the Four Spiritual Laws. These are basic biblical truths that help the unbeliever to understand where we (Christians) are coming from and where in scripture these truths come. Below are the fundamental truths that have become known as "the Four Spiritual Laws".

The Four Spiritual Laws

1. God loves you, and offers a wonderful plan for your life!
God's love- "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have eternal life" (John 3:16)
God's Plan- (Jesus Christ speaking)"I came that they might have life, and might have it abundantly" (John 10:10)

2. Man is sinful and separated from God. Therefore, he cannot know and experience God's love and plan for his life!
Man is sinful- "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God" (Romans 3:23)
Man is separated- "For the wages of sin is death" (Romans 6:23)

3. Jesus Christ is God's only son and the only Provision for man's sin. Through Him you can know and experience God's love and plan in your life.
He died in our place- "But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8)
He Rose from the dead- " Christ died for our sins...He was buried...He was raised on the thrid day, according to the Scriptures...(1Corinthians 15:3-6)
He is the only way to God- "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life: no one comes to the Father, except through Me'" (John 14:6)

4. We Must individually receive Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord; then we can know and experience God's love and plan for our lives!
We must receive Christ- "But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, even to those who believe in His name" (John 1:12)
We Receive Christ through Faith- "For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not as a result of works, that no one should boast"(Ephesians 2:8,9)

Comments

I include these comments from letters from people who have had us visit their functions or churches not to edify us but to edify the Lord who uses us as instruments and servants. Our focus in every program is GOD and what he has done for us, sinners deserving death, but saved by His grace.
I submit these comments to assure you who are considering having us come to your church or program or event that we present a program that is Christ-centered and focused on the Gospel.

The message of Christ loves for us stands out in your show.
Keep us informed about your programs and tours.

I like the creative ways of incorporating the gospel message with the act. Also I like how kids get pulled into the act as well.
-Leslie Green
Bay Marin Church,2000,2002 (San Rafael, CA)
You brought joy and amazement to those who cam to the Walk for Life. Your gifts of time and talent truly blessed and ministered to many!
-Janet Niemenyer

The typical comment from the adults on hand as, "Where did you find this guy? He's great!" You did a nice job weaving spiritual truths into your illusions.

Thank you for accepting our invitation to give a series of scriptural based messages using your talents of illusion. We were amazed and blessed by you and your precious children and look forward to seeing you again.

REFLECTIONS

Pilgrim's Progress By: John Bunyan

OK, the book is old. I mean really old. Written about 300 years ago but boy is it excellent. It tells the story of a man (Christian) who finds his need for God and then begins his journey to the Celestial City. Along the way sin takes him off the past and Grace brings him back. He runs into various characters both good and bad and runs into a number of circumstances that we (Christians who are on the pilgrimage) can relate to.
If you read this as a story or better yet as a textbook you will benefit from the book. As a story it is filled with tons of exciting drama and thoughtful discussions. As a textbook it demonstrates God's love for us and our need to seek him and aspire to live a Holy live.

Not Taken, But Given
I often receive e-mail containing interesting or humorous Christian stories. Or I will come across one or two in a book, magazine or devotional. Here's one I read in "Daily Bread":

All of us hope that we will be the exception to Jesus' words, "In the world you will have tribulation"(Jn.16:33). But if we realize that hardship may be our Father's wise plan for our lives, we will not be surprised and shocked when painful difficulty or tragedy occurs.
William Sangster (1900-1960), the noted English preacher, visited a young girl in a hospital at a time when doctors were struggling in vain to keep her from becoming blind. With sadness she said to him, "God is going to take away my sight." He Listened but at first made no reply. Then he answered compassionately, "Don't let Him, Jessie. Give it to Him." "I don't understand," she responded. So He explained, "Try to pray this prayer: 'Father, if I must lose my sight, help me to give it to You.'"
If we know that a loved one will probably die, or if we are told that we may be permanently disabled, let us give it to God as a love-offering. As Abraham surrendered his precious son Isaac on Mt. Moriah (Gen.22:1-14), so let us pray, "Father, I am not clinging fiercely to this cherished person or this rich blessing that has temporarily been mine. I am grateful to You for Lending me this life-enriching good, but now I freely give it to You."-VCG

When I read this I was deeply moved and now share it with you. My youngest child is developmentally delayed due to a very rare genetic disorder. From the beginning, since we found out, to now, he has been a blessing to us. I never once cried out 'WHY?' or get angry at God. We knew this was God's will. However, sometimes seeing a 'normal' child his age or younger I sometimes feel sad. Then I remember this story I read and hand it all back over to God. I feel honored God has the faith in me and my wife to give us this responsibility. By the way, he's a great kid!
